The energy transition and the move to net zero will only be possible if we employ the very latest digital technologies, whether it is to balance energy systems, manage cyber security, or forecast the output of renewable energy systems. It will be the biggest challenge yet for the global technology sector to co-ordinate efforts, collect and share data, and merge physical and digital realms.
